Here are some places to start your research on the Internet.  But remember, sometimes a book is better!  Always use more than one source of information, and double check that your facts are correct. 
    Always remember to cite (list) any sources of information (or pictures you save from the internet!) in a bibliography.  Click here for examples of how to make a bibliography.  
              

Magazine and encyclopedia articles			Search Engines for the Internet
	Full-text magazine articles, and Grolier Online Encyclopedia.  This is a GREAT place to start your research.			TekMom's Search Tools for Students.  These are kid safe search engines.
Wikipedia	Wikipedia-a free encyclopedia.  However, since anyone can edit it, it is not always reliable.  Double check your facts with another source!			One Key has partnered with Google to find kid safe sites.
	Encarta Encyclopedia Online (some articles are free, many require a subscription)
	Online almanac, encyclopedia, dictionary and homework help
