Personal Narrative

Personal Expressive Writing

A personal narrative is one form of personal expressive writing.
Personal narratives are focused on a single significant incident from the writer's life and are supported by details that emphasize the significance of the experience.  The success of the narrative lies in the writer's ability to provide the reader with an understanding of the events and feelings that make the incident important and the author's ideas and interpretation of the experience.
