"How To" Article
                                                       Transactive Writing
A "how-to" article is one form of transactive writing.
Transactive Writing is written from the perspective of an informed writer to a less informed reader.  It is functional writing intended to present information in order to accomplish any one or more of a variety of realistic purposes in "getting things understood and done".
