China Powerpoint Page
This Powerpoint presentation was originally designed to be used with my 2nd grade classes for Chinese New Year. It can be adapted to suit your needs. You may have to download the sound files separately, so I have included those as well. To download, just right click and choose "save target as." Once it's on your computer, you might want to put all the files in a folder together. I show my classes the powerpoint to give them some background knowledge and then read Lion Dancer: Ernie Wan's Chinese New Year by Kate Waters and Madeline Slovenz-Low. Other "Chinese" stories that I like to read are Tikki Tikki Tembo by Arlene Mosel, and Ming Lo Moves the Mountain by Arnold Lobel.
