Abenaki Indians

I use this presentation before reading How the Chipmunk Got His Stripes by Joseph and James Bruchac.  The Bruchacs (father and son) have Abenaki ancestry, and this  is an Abenaki version of a Native American tale.  The powerpoint can be adapted to suit your needs.  You will probably have to download the sound and video files separately, so I have included those as well.  To download, just right click and choose "save target as."  Once it's on your computer, put all the files in a folder together.  You may have to re-insert the movie files into your powerpoint, so that the right path is specified.  To do this, first delete the picture of the movie, then click "insert">"Movies and Sounds">"Movie from File."  Navigate to where you saved the downloaded movie clip and select it.  The movie should play!
